Today was the 1st Leave it for the Pooch's Project Save & Shine youth animal foster event. It was at Keenan Elementary School and was a huge success. We would like to say a BIG thank you to Principal Mrs. Kirby and 5th grade teachers Mrs. Kathy Wheat and Mrs. Lisa Miller for hosting and participating. Thank you Mrs. Lori Byrnes for volunteering for this project and for always supporting and showcasing Jayson and Leave it for the Pooch. We also want to thank the amazing youth fosters for doing such a great job! You will all make wonderful fosters and advocates for rescues and homeless pets. Stay tuned for our Save & Shine adoption event that will be held at Brightenpoint Nursing Home. After the adoption event, all the youth fosters will receive a picture of their foster pet and senior adopter, so they will understand the full circle of the foster/adoption process and the joy they brought to a senior!
