On Oct 15th we will be hosting a fun gift giving adoption event at The Rose assisted living in Round Rock, Texas. During this event residents will come and choose a realistic stuffed animal that our 5th grade youth fosters fostered during our Save & Shine event at school. Each student saved their foster pet, named him/her and did a creative writing project telling its likes, dislikes and how the pet is cared for while in foster care in hopes that their foster pet will be adopted at our adoption event hosted at nursing homes. Not every pet is adopted (gifted to the resident) it's the resident's choice, so when students receive their youth foster folders back, they will learn if their pet was adopted or will be going to another adoption event.
